Increasingly, line managers are expected to fulfil a broad and varied set of responsibilities. None is as sensitive, challenging and yet critical as that of supporting the well-being of their teams. A broad spectrum of support is often required, including contributing to direct reports’ ability to be healthy and happy at work to handling sensitive conversations around mental health appropriately and with care. One in 6 employees is currently experiencing mental health problems, while the stigma of mental health remains deeply entrenched.
Based on research, current data and employer best practice examples, this session provides a forum to discuss how, in a demanding business context, line managers can be empowered to take real steps that promote employee wellbeing.
Who should attend?
