David Oldfield takes over the mantle of chair of Business in the Community Wellbeing Leadership Team.
David, Group Director, Commercial Banking, Lloyds Banking Group will be handed the baton of leadership from outgoing chair Peter Simpson, CEO Anglian Water, on the 11 October. David became the Lloyds Banking Group Executive sponsor for disability in 2014, and is involved in wellbeing issues across the Group.
David joins as chair but BITC is also delighted to welcome Judith Butler, Engagement and Responsible Business Director, Commercial Banking, and Fiona Cannon OBE Group Director, Responsible Business and Inclusion from Lloyds Banking Group who join in a demonstration of the commitment the business has to the wellbeing agenda.
Accepting the post, David said: "It is an exciting time to be part of the conversation on improving wellbeing and mental health in the workplace. Much has been achieved, but there is still a long way to go, and I’m delighted that BITC are supporting employers and employees to take action to help everyone thrive at work and look forward to working collaboratively as chair to make the step change that is needed."
