Business in the Community members, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and Pincent Masons have been recognised in the Britains Healthiest Workplace awards announced today. They were finalists in the Healthiest New Entrant large employer category. Non-member NATs won the category with the Health Innovation Network and Skyscanner, winners in the medium and small employer sections respectively.
Britain’s Healthiest Workplace is the largest, most comprehensive and free workplace wellbeing survey in the UK. By participating in the survey, employers gain a better understanding of the health risks affecting their employees, how these change over time, and their associated health and productivity impact.
This year, 31,950 employees from 167 organisations participated in the survey, covering large, medium-sized and small companies — defined as those employing more than 1,000 people, between 250 and 999, and less than 250 — from across the public and private sectors.
Britains Healthiest Workplace is overseen by an advisory board of eleven eminent specialists in the field of wellbeing including Louise Aston, Business in the Community Wellbeing Director. For the first time in 2017, the survey question set was aligned to the Business in the Community workwell model, developed by business for business, based on robust evidence, to support employers to take a strategic, proactive approach to wellbeing.
